We’ve added a new feature that allows users to subscribe and receive daily or weekly survey completion reports by email. This is especially useful if you’re looking for a way to periodically monitor the progress of your surveys without having to log-in and check your analytics overview.
To start receiving your survey completion reports, go to your survey’s settings page. Then click the “advanced” tab, and enable the “Email Completion Reports” option. You can also set the reporting interval from the corresponding drop-down.
Here’s a sample of a report.

Rational Survey is now available as a free app to users of the Chrome browser in the Google Chrome Web Store.
Use the link below to get to the install page from where you can add it as an extension.
Installing it will add a bookmarked icon that when clicked will automatically take you to the main Rational Survey page while opening a new tab.
Using this app, we will eventually add advanced html5 features specific to the chrome browser to further improve the Rational Survey experience.
Adding a login to your surveys for respondent authentication or registration is really easy with Rational Survey.
Here are some quick advantages to adding a survey login step:
- Collect respondent details such as first name, last name, email address & date of birth
- Prevent duplicate survey responses from the same respondent
- Allow respondent to exit survey and continue from where they left off at a later time by logging back in
- Create controlled studies by requiring a unique password
To enable survey login, from the survey settings page. Click the “Advanced” tab.
Now enable the “Require Responder Login” setting.
A list of login options will appear below. Check all the fields you would like to use to authenticate respondents. Note: you must select at least two fields if you’re not using the email or username field.
Then click “Save” to update your settings.
Now when visitors access your survey they will have to login using the previously specified fields.
